On April 22, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee announced that it had opened Xuan Huong bridge to traffic, contributing to restoring traffic on the Mimosa pass route - the southern gateway to Da Lat.

Mimosa Pass is about 11 km long, located on National Highway 20, is a vital route serving trucks and heavy-duty vehicles entering and leaving the city.
Previously, in November 2025, heavy rain caused serious landslides at Km 226+500, creating a cliff about 40 m deep, nearly 100 m long, causing traffic to be cut off.
Although temporary roads have been opened, due to complex geology and the risk of prolonged landslides, the Ministry of Construction decided to build an elevated bridge to completely handle landslides and ensure long-term safety.

The bridge is 133 m long, 9 m wide, constructed from December 2025 to April 2026. Recorded on the afternoon of April 22, vehicles have been allowed to travel in both directions through this area.
Currently, the construction unit continues to complete auxiliary items such as guardrails, access roads, cable system and bridge surface paint.
Mr. Pham Van Thai, construction manager, said that at one point at the construction site, more than 70 engineers and workers were mobilized to work overnight to keep up with the traffic opening schedule before the rainy season, because this is an urgent item for a key traffic route.

Replacing the landslide road with an elevated bridge not only helps eliminate winding and dangerous roads but also thoroughly solves the problem of subsidence and landslides in areas with weak geological foundations, ensuring smooth traffic for the southern gateway to and from Da Lat city, especially in the upcoming rainy and flood season.
