Accordingly, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh gave instructions on removing obstacles to ensure the opening of the Dong Dang (Lang Son) - Tra Linh (Cao Bang) expressway in 2025.
The project is implemented in the form of public-private partnership (PPP), with a total length of 121 km, divided into 2 phases. When completed, the route will shorten travel time from Cao Bang to Hanoi from 6-7 hours to about 3.5 hours, while promoting the socio-economic development of the northern border area.
The Prime Minister requested the Chairmen of the People's Committees of Cao Bang and Lang Son provinces to focus on accelerating compensation, support, and resettlement work, ensuring 100% of clear site clearance before March 31, 2025. Localities need to strengthen propaganda and mobilization of affected households, and at the same time complete the relocation of technical infrastructure works, medium and low voltage power lines before the above deadline.
Investors (Deo Co Group Joint Stock Company) are required to increase their responsibility, focus maximum resources, equipment, work overtime, and increase shifts to speed up construction progress. The Prime Minister emphasized the need to fulfill the commitment to complete the project's opening to traffic in 2025.
The Chairmen of the People's Committees of Cao Bang and Lang Son provinces are responsible to the Prime Minister for inspecting, supervising and directing investors and related units to complete the project on schedule. Localities, investors, contractors and relevant agencies must seriously fulfill their committed responsibilities.
According to the records, the leaders of Cao Bang province have actively gone to the scene, met and encouraged people affected by the project. In the past few days, on March 6-7, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Minh Cuong and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Van Thach directly inspected the progress of the resettlement area, underpasses for people, overpasses and listened to the aspirations of the people. The leaders affirmed that they will ensure the legitimate and legal rights of the people, not letting them suffer.
With the strong direction of the Prime Minister and close coordination between the parties, the Dong Dang - Tra Linh expressway project promises to be completed on schedule, opening up new development opportunities for the Northeast region.
