According to the record, all vehicles and traffic participants cannot move through Long Bien Bridge but have to take a detour to Chuong Duong Bridge, causing traffic congestion in this area during the morning rush hour.
It is known that this is a periodic repair of the Hanoi - Dong Dang railway line. To serve the construction, the construction unit had to fence off part of the edge of Tran Nhat Duat Street and organize traffic flow to serve the project. The construction period is expected to last 65 days, from October 27, 2025 to December 31, 2025.
The Hanoi Department of Construction requires the investor and the construction unit, after the site is handed over, to immediately implement a traffic diversion plan and arrange barriers to ensure safety for people and vehicles. In case of any problems, the construction unit must have a written report to the Department of Construction for timely inter-sectoral coordination.
The construction unit is also required to fully arrange a system of signs, traffic lights and protective barriers according to Vietnamese standards on traffic organization; at the same time, mobilize human resources to coordinate with functional forces (Traffic Police, local authorities...) to guide, ensure order, safety and limit congestion in the construction area.
The Hanoi Department of Construction recommends widely informing the construction plan on the media so that people know and proactively choose a replacement route.
However, according to the reflection of many people here, there is almost no announcement or remote traffic flow as required. Ms. Dang Thi Khoa in Bo De ward said that because she did not know about the bridge repair, she was not prepared this morning and was blocked by the road, leading to a late office.
Regarding the traffic organization plan for construction, the entire road for rudimentary vehicles on Long Bien bridge from Bo De ward to Hoan Kiem ward will be temporarily closed to traffic for 65 days of construction.
At the beginning of Tran Nhat Duat Street, the construction area is fenced with a mobile road surface of 6.5m, the remaining road surface for traffic is also 6.5m wide. This period lasts for 20 days, from October 27, 2025 to November 16, 2025.
