Proactively increase trips
In the days leading up to Tet, the number of workers and students returning to Nghe An from major provinces and cities increased sharply. Learning from previous years, many passengers have proactively booked tickets early to avoid overload, ticket scarcity and high fares in the days leading up to Tet.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hung (from Minh Chau commune, Nghe An), a worker working in Ho Chi Minh City, said that he bought train tickets to Vinh from the beginning of December. "Booking tickets early helps me be proactive in time, avoiding crowds and not worrying about ticket prices increasing as in previous years," Mr. Hung shared.
Surveys at bus stations and online ticket sales systems show that many passenger cars, trains and planes on peak days have quickly been fully booked. Online ticket booking or direct contact with bus companies are chosen by many passengers to limit waiting and crowded gatherings at bus stations.

Faced with strong demand, road passenger transport businesses in Nghe An have proactively supplemented vehicles, ready to increase trips. According to a representative of Sao Nghe Bus Company, the unit is operating 20 high-class sleeper buses on the Nghe An - Hanoi route and will flexibly adjust frequency when the number of passengers increases. Ticket prices are applied according to the declared and listed levels.
According to Nghe An Bus Station Joint Stock Company, from more than a month before Tet, inter-provincial transport enterprises have been required to develop peak service plans, ensuring sufficient vehicles, sufficient drivers and service staff. It is expected that about 550 vehicles of more than 60 enterprises inside and outside the province will participate in Tet service. All vehicles are strictly inspected for technical safety and environmental sanitation before departure.
In the railway sector, the number of passengers returning from southern provinces to Nghe An increased sharply. Many trains on peak days sold out tickets early. For example, on February 12, 2026 (December 25th of the lunar calendar), trains from Ho Chi Minh City to Vinh were out of tickets. The railway industry has proactively added carriages and increased personnel to ensure safe and orderly pick-up and drop-off of passengers.

Air transport also recorded a "full ticket" situation on many routes such as Vinh - Ho Chi Minh City, Vinh - Da Lat, Vinh - Buon Ma Thuot. Airlines have developed plans to increase flights and supplement suitable flight times to meet travel needs during Tet.
Ensuring passenger safety and rights
Along with increasing vehicles, the Nghe An Department of Construction has issued a master plan to manage transport activities during the Binh Ngo Tet 2026, focusing on ensuring traffic order and safety and improving service quality.
For fixed-route passenger transport, businesses are required to organize ticket sales in advance in many forms, publicly and transparently disclosing ticket prices in accordance with regulations; strictly prohibit the situation of arbitrarily raising prices, forcing passengers' prices or abandoning routes to run illegal contracts. Units must proactively plan to increase trips and transfer vehicles when necessary.
The Department of Construction also requested to strengthen propaganda and professional ethics education for drivers and service staff; strictly comply with traffic safety regulations, do not carry more than the prescribed number of people, do not use alcohol or stimulants when working. Taxi companies must maintain 24/24 hour duty to receive and handle people's feedback.
For freight transport, the focus is on ensuring the full supply of essential goods to serve Tet, without unreasonably increasing freight rates, especially in remote and isolated areas. Vehicles must comply with regulations on tonnage, and not transport prohibited goods or goods of unknown origin.

According to a representative of Vinh International Airport, after a period of upgrading, the entire technical infrastructure of the airport has been inspected and operated synchronously, meeting the requirements of safe operation. The airport strengthens security control, fire and explosion prevention, and closely coordinates with airlines to limit congestion during peak hours.
According to Mr. Tran Anh Tuan - Head of Transport Management Department, Nghe An Department of Construction, throughout Tet, functional forces will strengthen inspection and examination, strictly handle violations in transport activities, promptly regulate vehicles, and prevent prolonged congestion and vehicle shortages.
The synchronous implementation of solutions is expected to help transportation activities in Nghe An province take place safely and smoothly, so that each trip home for Tet of people is truly convenient and peaceful.
