At about 11:30 a.m. on April 1, on the Dien Chau (Nghe An) - Nghi Son (Thanh Hoa) expressway, through Dien Truong commune, Dien Chau district (Nghe An), a traffic accident occurred between a truck and a tractor-trailer, causing traffic on the route to be paralyzed for many hours.
At the time of the accident, the truck with license plate 98G-002.xx was traveling in the South - North direction. When reaching Km416 on the North-South Expressway in the East, the car suddenly crashed into the rear of a container trailer with license plate 63R-012.xx traveling in the same direction in front.

The strong collision caused the front of the truck to deform, the cargo box to be tilted, and the truck overturned, blocking the entire expressway lane. The accident injured the driver and the truck's assistant, and was taken to the emergency room by local residents and rescue forces in a state of confusion and scratching.
The consequences of the incident caused dozens of cars behind to be congested, stretching for many kilometers. Some vehicles tried to turn around and move slowly on the emergency lane, making the traffic jams even more serious.
Upon receiving the report, the Road Traffic Control Patrol Team - Expressway No. 4 under the Traffic Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) coordinated with Dien Chau District Police and functional forces to quickly arrive at the scene. The work of diverting traffic and ensuring traffic order and safety was urgently deployed, and at the same time, the rescue force lifted the injured vehicle out of the highway lane to relieve the congestion.
