As planned, on the morning of January 31 (the third day of Lunar New Year 2025), Ninh Binh province will hold an inauguration ceremony and officially put into use the Van River Overpass and Le Duan Street in Hoa Lu city.
For the Le Duan Street project, phase I has a total investment of 237,728 billion VND from the budget of Ninh Binh province, the project is invested by the Ninh Binh Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board.
The Van River Overpass and the West Van River Approach Project is built with an arched structure, including the Bong Lau Arch and Ma Yen Arch. The total investment of the project is 340 billion VND from the budget of Ninh Binh province. The project is invested by the Department of Transport of Ninh Binh province.
Mr. Nguyen Cao Son - Vice Chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee said that these are key traffic works, selected by Ninh Binh province to put up signs to welcome the 23rd Congress of Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030.
With great efforts and determination, actively responding to the emulation movement "Promoting the development of synchronous and modern infrastructure; practicing thrift, fighting waste" launched by the Prime Minister. The completion and putting into operation of the above two projects will contribute significantly to promoting the socio-economic development of the province; at the same time, meeting the travel needs of the people.
According to Vice Chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Cao Son, Le Duan Street is identified as the main and important route to connect the East and West of Hoa Lu city, connecting the Eastern gateway (high-speed intersection with the North-South expressway in the East with Trang An Heritage Center). Currently, the first phase of the route has been completed, along with the Van River overpass connecting with National Highway 1B, connecting the expressway with the National Highway 10 bypass through Hoa Lu city with National Highway 1A and National Highway 1B.
Thereby, contributing to reducing traffic congestion, minimizing environmental pollution in the central area of Hoa Lu city. At the same time, creating conditions to promote the socio-economic development of Hoa Lu city in particular and Ninh Binh province in general.
Ninh Binh province also directed the Ninh Binh Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (investor) of the East-West Road Project to speed up the progress to open the route, serving the travel needs of people during the 2025 Lunar New Year.
