The Vietnam International Team Golf Championship 2026 has just closed after exciting competitions at the golf course in Phan Thiet (Lam Dong).
The home team Vietnam has achieved a total of 18 points through the matches, thereby maintaining the No. 1 position overall with the championship cup. In this tournament, the Lao team is runner-up with 14 points while the Chinese team is third (13 points).
Experts have recorded 2 successful holes in one at the tournament. The results belonged to golfer Le Bach Viet of the Vietnamese team and Hashimoto Hikaru of the Japanese team when they both reached hole number 5 at Ocean Stadium (Novaworld Phan Thiet club).
At the tournament, the Vietnamese home team included golfers Cao Quy, Bach Viet, Quoc Tinh, Huynh Quang Duc, Phan Quang Duc, Phi Hung, The Mai, Trieu Van, Van Nhuan, Ngoc Dinh, Hoang Trung, Van Thoai, Ngoc Binh, Quoc Tuynh, Xuan Minh, Truong Da, Minh Sang and captain Andrew Hung Pham.
According to regulations, the tournament has applied a pit-to-pit format including fourball, foursome and doubles (single match).
With fourball, each team has 2 golfers who are allowed to play individually. The best score of each member in each hole will be the team's score. With foursome, 2 members who have played with the same ball take turns hitting until the ball enters the hole. According to regulations, each win is 1 point, the draw is 0.5 points.
The organizers acknowledged that golfers from Japan, China, USA, Laos and Vietnam teams competed at the tournament.
