Lam Dong - 3 households whose houses were unroofed and damaged by tornadoes in Ham Thuan commune were given support by the Commune Fatherland Front to overcome damage.

On June 2nd, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ham Thuan commune (Lam Dong province) said that it had organized visits and presented financial support to households affected by tornadoes in the area.

Previously, on May 25, a tornado occurred in the Doc Lang village area, causing the houses of Mr. Tran Van Hung, Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh and Mr. Nguyen Minh Tien to have their roofs blown off and damaged.

After grasping the situation, actual inspection and recording the extent of damage, the locality has proposed to support households affected by natural disasters.

The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ham Thuan commune coordinated with Ms. Pham Thi To Loan - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Commune Party Committee to visit each household to inquire, encourage and provide financial support.

Accordingly, Mr. Tran Van Hung's household and Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh's household were supported with 10 million VND each. Mr. Nguyen Minh Tien's household was supported with 5 million VND. The total amount of support is 25 million VND, deducted from the Relief Fund.

The support level is determined based on the damage reported by households to the local authorities and the actual review results.

At the families visited, the working delegation shared difficulties with the people, and at the same time encouraged households to soon overcome the consequences of natural disasters, repair houses, stabilize their lives and feel secure in working and producing in the coming time.
