Agribank warns of tricks to impersonate tax officials to deceive business households

Hà Vy |

Agribank issued warning information to business households, related to account information.

The Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) has just issued a warning about the method of forging banks/tax officials.

According to Agribank, recently there have been subjects impersonating bank officials or tax authorities, proactively calling business households (HKD) with the reason of "supporting conversion, updating documents, completing procedures according to Decree 70/2025/ND-CP".

A common trick of these subjects is to send invitations, notifications or links to support HKD in online procedures. Request the business household to provide account information with money, then provide an OTP code or biometric authentication to complete the procedure. Set up strange applications to "authenticate" and "quick remote support".

Agribank recommends that business households pay special attention to:

- Do not click on strange links sent via phone, Zalo, SMS.

- Do not provide OTP code, password, or bank account information in any form.

- Do not install the application as instructed by phone.

Tax procedures are instructed to be implemented directly at tax authorities or banks.

If receiving calls, invitations or notices with unusual signs, customers need to proactively contact the local tax authority or Agribank to verify, to avoid being taken advantage of and scammed. Customers need to be vigilant to protect information and assets during digital transformation.
