On October 16, 2025, in the mountainous commune, Tay Giang border, Da Nang City, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh presided over the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Tay Giang Boarding School, Primary and Secondary Boarding School. Joining the working delegation of the Prime Minister, Comrade To Huy Vu - Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Agribank presented a sponsorship of 20 billion VND in funding to support the construction of the school, demonstrating Agribank's commitment to accompanying in developing education in remote areas.
The Government working delegation was led by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and members of the Party Central Committee: General Nguyen Tan Cuong - Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Minister of National Defense; Comrade Dao Ngoc Dung - Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions; and comrades representing the leaders of the Party, State, Central Departments, Ministries and branches.
Participating in the working delegation, on the side of Da Nang City, there were comrade Pham Duc An - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee; Mr. and Mrs. in the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Executive Committee of the City Party Committee, leaders of the City People's Committee Party Committee, leaders of the City's Departments, branches and sectors; leaders of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the border communes of Da Nang City; Secretaries and Chairmen of Tay Giang Commune, the Board of Directors, teachers, students of the school and a large number of local officials and people attended.

Highly appreciating that Da Nang City has promptly implemented 6 projects to build 6 schools in border communes in 2025 according to Conclusion No. 81-TB/TW dated July 18, 2025 of the Politburo, with a total cost of more than VND 1,500 billion, of which, Tay Giang Primary and Secondary Boarding School alone has a cost of more than VND 262 billion, saving nearly 10% of the cost compared to the plan, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested Da Nang City to complete the construction of Tay Giang School before June 2026 and complete the construction of all 6 schools in the border area in 2026.
The Prime Minister welcomed the sense of responsibility and consensus of the government, especially the people of Tay Giang commune in completing site clearance work, creating favorable conditions for the implementation of the construction of Tay Giang Boarding, Primary and Secondary Boarding School.
The Prime Minister suggested that Da Nang City continue to research and implement phase 2 of the project to better meet the teaching and learning needs of teachers and students. During the implementation process, if difficulties, problems or needs arise, relevant agencies need to promptly report to the City People's Committee; in cases beyond their authority, report to the Government and the Prime Minister for consideration and resolution.
At the ceremony, Chairman of Da Nang City Pham Duc An said that Tay Giang is a land rich in revolutionary traditions, with an important geopolitical position in terms of national defense and security. Investing in the construction of a boarding and semi-boarding school here not only meets the learning needs of nearly 2,000 children of ethnic minorities but also ensures the long-term needs of primary and secondary schools in Tay Giang commune.
Determining the importance of the project, the leaders of Da Nang City pledged to make every effort, be determined to implement the project on schedule, ensure quality, safety and efficiency, ensure the quality of the project, and soon put the school into operation to serve children in the locality. Along with that, the City will direct relevant agencies and localities to best prepare conditions to soon start construction of the remaining schools, ensuring the completion of the set plans and goals.
