On the morning of December 31, Mr. Mai Son - Standing Vice Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee chaired a conference to inform about the results of implementing socio-economic development tasks in 2025, main goals, tasks and solutions for 2026.
At the conference, leaders of the Office of the Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee presented a summary report on the results of implementing socio-economic development tasks in 2025.
Accordingly, the province basically completed the main socio-economic targets set out, notably in 11 fields.
In which, notably in terms of economy, the province continues to develop rapidly, with many targets in the leading group in the country. Total output in the area for the whole year 2025 is estimated at over 522 trillion VND.
GRDP growth is at double digits, reaching 10.27%, ranking 5th in the country and closely following the plan assigned by the Provincial People's Council and the Government.
GRDP per capita is estimated at 5,852 USD, 1.16 times the national average. Social labor productivity is estimated to increase by 9%, exceeding the plan.
Industry continues to be a key sector promoting the economy. The total production value of the industry is estimated at 2,407,240 billion VND, of which the manufacturing industry of electronics, computers and optical products plays a leading role.
The total value of import and export is estimated at 182 billion USD, continuing to be one of the two leading localities in the country and accounting for 20% of the total import and export turnover of the country, with a trade surplus of about 6 billion USD.
For the whole year, the province is estimated to attract 18.6 billion USD of domestic and foreign direct investment capital. Bac Ninh's FDI attraction alone currently ranks 3rd in the country.
The startup wave continues to increase strongly, especially since Resolution No. 68; about 6,500 new businesses were established in 2025.
Bac Ninh is also one of the localities that completed the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses earliest in the country and is expected to complete 15,929 social housing units in 2025.
In addition, cultural and social fields are concerned. In the year, there are 2 cultural heritages recognized by UNESCO. The quality of medical examination and treatment continues to improve. Key education achieves many outstanding results.
At the conference, Bac Ninh province announced 30 socio-economic development targets for 2026.
In terms of economy, in 2026, Bac Ninh province sets a GRDP target of more than 598,000 billion VND (2025 reaches more than 522,000 billion VND); growth reaches 12.5 - 13%.
Bac Ninh province also set a target of having 1.9 million employed workers; unemployment rate at 2%; poverty rate of 5% and the number of completed social housing apartments is more than 18,100 apartments.
