National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man has just signed and issued Resolution No. 1658/NQ-UBTVQH15 on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Bac Ninh province in 2025.
According to the Resolution, after the arrangement, Bac Ninh province has 99 commune-level administrative units, including 66 communes and 33 wards. Specifically as follows:
1. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Yen Gia commune and Chi Lang commune into a new commune called Chi Lang commune.
2. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Chau Phong, Duc Long and Phu Lang communes into a new commune called Phu Lang commune.
3. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Cho town and Trung Nghia, Long Chau, Dong Tien communes into a new commune called Yen Phong commune.
4. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Yen Phu, Dong Tho and Van Mon communes into a new commune called Van Mon commune.
5. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Hoa Tien commune and Tam Giang commune into a new commune called Tam Giang commune.
6. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Dung Liet commune and Yen Trung commune to form a new commune called Yen Trung commune.
7. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Thuy Hoa, Dong Phong and Tam Da communes to become a new commune called Tam Da commune.
8. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Lim town, Noi Due commune and Phu Lam commune into a new commune called Tien Du commune.
9. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Hien Van, Viet Doan and Lien Bao communes into a new commune called Lien Bao commune.
10. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Lac Ve commune and Tan Chi commune into a new commune called Tan Chi commune.
11. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Tri Phuong, Hoan Son and Dai Dong communes into a new commune called Dai Dong commune.

99. After the arrangement, Bac Ninh province has 99 commune-level administrative units, including 66 communes and 33 wards; of which 65 communes and 33 wards formed after the arrangement prescribed in this Article and 1 commune that does not implement the arrangement is Tuan Dao commune.
The new Bac Ninh province (after the merger between Bac Ninh and Bac Giang) has a natural area of 4,718.6 km2 and a population of 3,619,433 people. The newly established Bac Ninh province borders Hung Yen, Lang Son, Quang Ninh, Thai Nguyen provinces, Hai Phong city and Hanoi city.
