Need to quickly popularize basic knowledge about artificial intelligence

On April 2, the National Innovation Center (NIC) in collaboration with Intel Corporation launched the "Artificial Intelligence for the Community" (AI for All) Program.

Speaking at the Announcement Ceremony of the "Artificial Intelligence for All" Program (AI for All), Deputy Minister of Finance Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc emphasized - in the context of rapid development of AI technology, a particularly important and urgent requirement today is to quickly popularize basic knowledge about artificial intelligence to the entire population in the easiest way, according to international standards.

"The implementation of the "Artificial Intelligence for the Community" Program at this time is very necessary and immediately meets the practical and urgent needs of learning, disseminating knowledge, improving the skills of applying artificial intelligence of administrative agencies, socio-political organizations, businesses and people" - the Deputy Minister emphasized.

"With the "AI for the community" program, we are extremely proud to accompany Vietnam with the goal of promoting the application of AI, while meeting the Government's priority in equipping people with the right abilities to develop in the AI era.

By creating opportunities for people to access knowledge about AI, we not only prepare provisions for each individual entering the future labor market, but also nurture a constant learning and innovation environment, contributing to the development of the Vietnamese digital economy" - Ms. Sarah Kemp shared.

The "Artificial Intelligence for the Community" (AI for all) program is implemented to contribute to popularizing, conveying knowledge and raising awareness of artificial intelligence according to the policy of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation.

At the same time, strongly respond to the "digital citizenship" movement under the direction of General Secretary To Lam and was launched by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on March 26, 2025.

The "Artificial Intelligence for the Community" initiative is a nationwide self-study program for all Vietnamese citizens, from students, office workers, parents, to the elderly so that each individual can adapt to a world where AI is increasingly popular, as well as equip themselves with the necessary skills for the development of the workforce and society.

Developed by Intel Corporation, the National Innovation Center and accompanied by partners such as the pace of Posts and Telecommunications Technology Academy (PTIT), the Artificial Intelligence for the Community program is divided into two main modules.

First, awareness of AI ( awareness of AI): Interesting introduction of basic principles, practical applications, and common misunderstandings about AI.

Second, understanding AI (AI Appreciate): Explore deeper into AI ethics, responsible use of AI, and its impact on many fields.

With the goal of bringing attraction and high interactivity, the "Artificial Intelligence for the Community" program will award digital badges to users who complete a four-hour course.

The course acts as a launching pad to promote AI training and provide documents for those who want to improve their knowledge of AI. The AI for the Community curriculum now has English and Vietnamese.

The program is also designed to be accessible to people in special needs, ensuring that all citizens can learn and catch up with the country's digital transformation journey.

Through easy-to-reach online courses, the program not only helps people grasp basic knowledge about AI, but also creates a solid foundation for the development of digital skills.
