Enhancing businesses, for workers
Mr. Tran Le Tuan - Party Secretary, General Director of Da Nang Port - said that from 2020 to now, Da Nang Port has been creating a strong digital transformation journey, not only affirming its position as the leading smart seaport in Vietnam but also focusing on improving the quality of the working environment, optimizing the experience, and reducing the burden on workers.
Strategic investment in information technology (IT) and automation has brought practical benefits, creating a modern, safe and effective working environment.
In the period of 2020-2024, Da Nang Port has made its mark by researching and implementing a series of advanced technology solutions, bringing outstanding efficiency in operation, improving productivity for human resources and customers.
Typically, the ePort ( Electronic Port) and Automatic Container Port (Autogate) systems integrate many new technology solutions such as identifying container codes using the ACCR algorithm combined with Artificial Intelligence (AI). In particular, interactive driving and information reception via mobile applications (APP) have helped optimize logistics costs, speed up the delivery of goods, significantly reduce time and travel costs for drivers, while increasing productivity for customers' staff, reducing administrative costs for the Port.
Or the fact that the staff of Da Nang Port self-discovery and successful research put into operation 50 industrial signal receiving devices for e-Tractors. With a cost of only about 20% compared to industrial computers but outstanding durability, eTractor benefits at least 4 billion VND in a 3-year cycle.
Next is the vehicle guarding system inside the crane using a camera using AI: This is a breakthrough AI software solution, completely replacing manual work by humans and traditional CPS systems.
In particular, eMAP electronic map ( Electronic Map) in container delivery, researched and deployed in 2024, eMAP provides container drivers with an electronic map showing the route of the container to be delivered. EMAP has helped drivers find the shortest way to go, avoid getting lost, reduce time to rotate in the parking lot, especially useful for new drivers, helping them easily find container locations...
Creative achievements and benefits for workers

In the last 6 months of 2024, the Port has recognized 35 initiatives and rationalized the application of scientific and technological advances, bringing in a profit of over 7 billion VND. Continuing the development momentum, in the first 6 months of 2025, 37 initiatives were recognized, including 18 Port-level initiatives and 19 factory-level initiatives.
These initiatives not only bring economic value but also directly solve difficulties in production, improve working conditions, optimize processes, help workers reduce their burden, and improve their professional capacity.
In recent years, Da Nang Port has constantly innovated, continuously improved and developed information technology towards automation. This has contributed significantly to helping Da Nang Port become an online seaport, anytime, anywhere, effectively, quickly, moving towards becoming the most smart and modern port in the Vietnam Seaport system.
More importantly, this digital transformation process has directly enhanced the reputation and service quality of Da Nang Port, while significantly improving the working environment, productivity and satisfaction for workers. From reducing manual work, enhancing safety, to providing smart support tools, Da Nang Port has demonstrated a strong commitment to building a sustainable development enterprise, focusing on people.
Digital transformation is not only a business goal but also a means for Da Nang Port to truly become a Enterprise for Workers, increasing competitiveness, opening up golden opportunities for the Central economic region when attracting shipping lines and foreign investors to cooperate economically with the local business community - Mr. Tran Le Tuan said.
