Buffalo meat participating in the Do Son buffalo fighting festival (Hai Phong) in 2024 is sold by sellers for 2 million VND/kg.

Fighting buffalo meat is one of the specialties of Do Son. Fighting buffaloes are raised, fed delicious grass, cassava, rice, wheat, given tonics, and taken care of very carefully. The "buffaloes" are trained to run on sand, wade in mud, swim..., so the buffalo meat is very firm.

According to the Organizing Committee of the Do Son Traditional Buffalo Fighting Festival, this year, the locality and the Organizing Committee will continue to tighten security, arrange separate areas for slaughtering and selling buffalo meat. At the same time, assign supervisors to prevent the "smuggling" of buffalo meat from outside from being sold together with fighting buffalo meat.

According to Lao Dong reporters, after each match, the losing buffaloes will be slaughtered and butchered for sale. The meat stalls are crowded with people jostling to buy. Like previous festivals, the buffalo meat selling area was arranged by the Organizing Committee right outside the stadium, near the gate of Do Son Stadium.

The price of buffalo meat is listed at the counter, starting at 2 million VND/kg. Mr. Hoang Tuan Anh (30 years old, a customer from Thai Binh) said: "This is the first year I have seen Do Son buffalo fighting. Taking the opportunity to come back to see the buffalo fighting, I also bought 1 kg of buffalo meat 08, from match number 2 for 2 million VND for my family to enjoy tonight."

In addition to buffalo meat and buffalo products, many vendors sell vegetables for customers to conveniently buy and process with buffalo meat such as garlic, chili, Vietnamese coriander, Vietnamese coriander...
