On the afternoon of July 15, in Hai Phong, within the framework of the Third Conference Week of the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC 3), which gathered leading business leaders from 21 member economies to discuss key trade and investment issues in the Asia-Pacific region, the People's Committee of Hai Phong City held a Conference on Promoting Trade Investment with the theme "Flying - Strategic Destination of the New Era".

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Tien Chau, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Hai Phong City Party Committee emphasized: The theme of the conference is Hai Phong - Strategic Destination of the New Era is not only a slogan but a vision, an aspiration, a consistent and consistent action strategy of our city. Mr. Nguyen Van Thang, Minister of Finance, highly appreciated Hai Phong's efforts in improving the investment environment and its careful preparation to implement new financial mechanisms. The Minister affirmed that the Ministry of Finance will accompany and closely coordinate with the city to guide and remove obstacles, ensuring preferential policies, especially those related to the Free Trade Zone, are implemented effectively and transparently, creating strong confidence for investors. The Minister of Finance also called on the business community to invest in Hai Phong and said that he would coordinate with the city to create favorable conditions for investors.
At the Conference, investors continued to be introduced in detail about the potential, advantages and strategic investment opportunities in Hai Phong. In which, an important highlight is the establishment of the Free Trade Zone, opening up new development space with outstanding investment incentives and policies, being an ideal destination for investors in the fields of high technology, marine economy, logistics and green growth.
Representatives of major investors such as Mr. Dang Thanh Tam (Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kinh Bac Urban Development Corporation), Mr. Carlos Ottery (Director of Trakmotive Group), Mr. Bruno Jaspaert (Chairman of Eurocham Vietnam), Mr. Sovico Group and Mr. Ko Tae Yeon (Chairman of KoCham Vietnam) all expressed their confidence and appreciation for Hai Phong's increasingly improved investment environment, and pledged to continue researching and expanding investment activities, accompanying the city's development.

Within the framework of the ABAC 3 Conference Week (from January 15-18) held in Hai Phong, the APEC business community has had many interactive activities with the city.
