Take advantage of early beauty
At this time, along with buying new clothes and decorating the house, the need for beauty also increases. Customers, especially women, are taking advantage of going to hair salons, nail salons and spas to take care of their beauty and confidently welcome Tet.
To avoid overcrowding and long waiting times near Tet, Ms. Do Thi Lien (Cai Rang District, Can Tho City) proactively scheduled her beauty treatment 1 month in advance. According to Ms. Lien, if she waits until close to Tet to go for a beauty treatment, she will easily get caught up in the busy atmosphere and may not have a satisfactory place.
“During Tet, all services are in high demand, especially beauty services. Every year, I take advantage of my free time to get my hair done and skin care done early. Even though I have made an appointment in advance, with high demand and a large number of customers, the beauty process takes longer than usual,” said Ms. Lien.
Also going to get beauty treatments these days, Ms. Le Thi Chua (office worker, O Mon district, Can Tho city) shared that this is the right time to take care of herself after a year of hard work.
“In addition to taking care of my family, I always remind myself to take care of myself. It may not be much, but this Tet I should still buy some new clothes, do my hair, take care of my skin, etc. to make myself more confident and see it as a reward for myself to continue working hard,” Ms. Chua shared.
With a busy schedule preparing for Tet, the female employee said that getting her beauty done early was a wise decision. This not only helps her be proactive about her time but also gives her more options in terms of services and styles.
Beauty services "sold out"
The surge in demand for beauty treatments has made hair salons, spas, and nail salons extremely busy. Many places are fully booked months in advance and have had to put in overtime to serve customers.
Ms. Bui Thi Ngoc Huong, who runs a beauty spa in Ninh Kieu District (Can Tho City), said that since the beginning of December, her hair salon has started to be crowded with customers and the number has doubled on weekends. Up to now, the employees' work schedules are almost full until the end of Tet.
According to Ms. Huong, most regular customers make appointments quite early to find a satisfactory technician and avoid waiting. To meet customer needs, in addition to constantly updating new beauty trends, increasing working hours and allowing employees to work overtime, Ms. Huong also recruits some temporary assistants during Tet.
Ms. Le Hong Diem (owner of a hair salon in O Mon district, Can Tho city) shared that this year, the shop is very crowded with customers. The appointment schedule is full very early. Many customers call and text to make an appointment but the time slot overlaps with other customers, so the shop cannot arrange it so they have to refuse.
“Tet is the peak season for beauty services. Although there are many customers, the salon's revenue will increase, but we cannot accept customers arbitrarily, we have to balance our human resources. Because the most important thing is still the quality of service. We always focus on training staff, updating new beauty techniques and using high-quality products. Only good service can make customers come back to our salon the next time,” said Ms. Diem.
