According to the latest report of the Cao Bang Provincial Tax Department, as of November 21, the total domestic revenue in the province reached more than 1,315 billion VND, exceeding 10.7% of the estimate assigned by the Ministry of Finance, equal to 99.8% of the estimate assigned by the province, up 20.7% over the same period in 2023.
Of which, revenue from land use fees reached VND88.2 billion, revenue from lottery activities was VND13.3 billion, exceeding 13.5% of the estimate assigned by the Ministry of Finance; fees collected at border gates were VND5.4 billion; remaining taxes and fees reached VND1,098.5 billion.
Compared to the estimate assigned by the Ministry of Finance, almost all districts and cities in Cao Bang province have exceeded the estimate, achieving impressive growth compared to 2023.
Compared with the budget assigned by Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee, many units in the districts also achieved and exceeded the set targets.
On November 25, speaking with reporters, a representative of the Cao Bang Department of Finance said that although 2024 is not yet over, total domestic revenue has achieved good results, in addition, revenue from the border gate area is also very promising.
On the other hand, looking at the results of trade and service activities in the first 10 months of 2024 in Cao Bang province helps us to partly visualize the driving forces that helped the total domestic revenue of this mountainous province reach a positive level.
In the first 10 months of the year, estimated revenue from services and trade reached over 700 billion VND, an increase of 29.50% over the same period in 2023.
Of which, revenue from accommodation, catering and tourism services in the first 10 months of 2024 is estimated at VND 189.70 billion, up 32.08% over the same period.

Transport businesses operated stably. Estimated revenue reached 366.60 billion VND; equal to 107.07%, up 7.07% over the same period last year.
However, Cao Bang province also needs to improve many aspects to make economic activities more effective. In particular, in the field of public investment, the locality is in the group of provinces with the lowest disbursement rate in the country.
