The Director of the Tax Department said that the focus of the initial phase of transitioning from fixed tax to declaration is not the issue of inspection and penalties, but focusing on substantive support.

On the afternoon of March 12, in Hanoi, the Government Electronic Information Portal and the Tax Department chaired and coordinated with relevant units to organize a workshop "Solutions to help business households declare taxes correctly, be assured of compliance, and develop sustainably".

At the workshop, Mr. Mai Xuan Thanh - Director of the Tax Department (Ministry of Finance), said that the workshop was held at a very important time, when new policies on tax management for business households have entered the stage of implementation into reality.

In the first phase of the declaration method for business households, the focus of the tax authority is not the issue of inspection and penalties, but focusing on providing substantive support so that people can implement it correctly right from the first declaration period.

The 15-day peak period is organized with a very specific goal of helping business households understand correctly, implement correctly and feel secure in maintaining production and business activities.

Tax authorities at all levels will strengthen direct guidance in the area, organize focused support sessions, and expand online support channels, hotlines, and remote consulting forms to promptly answer problems arising during the implementation process.

The tax industry is committed to continuing to promote the application of information technology, digital transformation, and at the same time providing free electronic tax utilities and services to serve business households.

The goal is to help people carry out electronic declaration and tax payment more conveniently with simple, easy-to-do, easy-to-remember operations, reduce compliance costs, and reduce pressure when performing obligations according to the new tax method.

In the coming time, the technology system will continue to be upgraded in the direction of being smart, friendly and better supporting households. For example: putting applications to suggest declaration information; reminding deadlines for declaration; supporting deduction and payment of money from accounts with the consent of taxpayers; early warning of errors so that households can promptly adjust.

These solutions are aimed at helping people limit technical errors, reduce risks due to lack of familiarity to implement in a more convenient and convenient way.

Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Hong Sam - General Director of the Government Electronic Information Portal - emphasized that Resolution 68-NQ/TW of the Party on private economic development emphasizes the need to build a suitable financial and tax policy system to create conditions for private economic development.
