On the afternoon of June 10, at the Vietnam National Credit Information Center (CIC), Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Pham Duc An had a working session with CIC on the operational situation and development orientation in the coming time. The working session was also attended by Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Pham Tien Dung and representatives of leaders of a number of units, Departments, and Agencies under the State Bank of Vietnam; on the CIC side, there were the Management Council, the Board of Directors and leaders of professional departments.

At the working session, Mr. Cao Van Binh, Chairman of the Management Council cum General Director of CIC, gave a general report on the operating results of the unit; the implementation of key tasks, database development, improved quality of credit information products and services, and digital transformation orientation to meet the management and administration requirements of the State Bank and the needs of credit institutions.

Speaking at the working session, Deputy Governor of the SBV Pham Tien Dung highly appreciated the results CIC has achieved in the past time, and at the same time emphasized the requirement to strongly innovate credit information activities in the context of digital transformation and the development of new data platforms. The Deputy Governor requested CIC to continue to improve data quality, promote the development of value-added products, effectively exploit detailed data to serve the management, administration, and risk management of credit institutions; and at the same time pay special attention to ensuring information security and safety, maintaining its role as a national credit information center.

Speaking to direct at the working session, Governor of the SBV Pham Duc An emphasized that CIC is an important unit in the data infrastructure of the Banking industry, and needs to proactively innovate, improve internal capacity, promote dynamism, creativity and adapt to an increasingly competitive environment. The Governor requested CIC not to stop at the role of providing traditional credit information but to strongly shift from "data warehouses" to smart data infrastructure, developing products and services with higher added value from the data it holds.

The Governor also requested CIC to continue to promote the application of science and technology, improve management efficiency and review the organizational model to suit new development requirements. At the same time, CIC needs to promote the spirit of a dynamic public non-business unit, taking service quality as the center, proactively proposing new solutions to continue to affirm its role as a key data infrastructure, contributing to serving the effective management and administration of the State Bank and the safe and sustainable development of the banking system.
On behalf of the leadership, officials and employees of CIC, Mr. Cao Van Binh, Chairman of the Board of Directors cum General Director of CIC, fully received the directions of the Governor and the State Bank's Board of Directors. CIC will concretize the assigned orientations and tasks into specific programs and action plans, continue to innovate and improve the quality of operations, promote its role as a national credit information center, meeting the development requirements of the Banking industry in the new period.
