Ha Long Canned Food Joint Stock Company said that the 9 subjects arrested and prosecuted above are all individuals outside, without any employees, managers or employees of the Company.
The Company is the party involved in the case as the unit receiving raw materials based on dossiers and documents provided by the seller in full and valid form and issued by competent State agencies according to regulations. This content has been recorded by functional agencies during the investigation and verification process.

Immediately after discovering the incident (September 2025), the company proactively reported and coordinated fully, promptly, and transparently with functional agencies throughout the investigation process; seriously implemented the decision to isolate and destroy the entire batch of violating raw materials as requested by competent state agencies. At the same time, reviewed the entire process of controlling input raw materials and selecting suppliers to strengthen risk prevention measures in the supply chain.
The enterprise also assessed the level of impact on the Company's operations, identifying this as a serious incident in the supply chain, with a certain impact on reputation and production and business activities in the short term.
However, the entire batch of violating raw materials was not put into production and not supplied to the market. The Company's products circulating on the market all fully meet food safety and hygiene regulations, and are strictly controlled according to internal procedures. The Company's factory currently still maintains full food safety management certifications such as ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, and is subject to regular inspection and supervision by functional agencies.
Up to now, the Company's production and business activities are still stable, continuous and in compliance with legal regulations, without significant interruptions.

Previously, the City Police informed that, through grasping the situation and professional measures, on September 8, 2025, the Economic Police Department - Hai Phong City Police discovered and arrested subjects who were transporting and trading 1,274.5 kg of slaughtered pork, with a foul odor, of unknown origin, positive for African swine fever virus from the epidemic area to companies and establishments processing food from pork in the area for consumption purposes. After that, the Investigation Police Agency, City Police issued a Decision to prosecute the case of "Violating food safety regulations".
Recently, the City Police Investigation Agency prosecuted 9 defendants including: Bui Duc Trong (born in 1979, residing in Ngo Quyen ward, Hai Phong city); Le Ba Doanh (born in 1977, residing in An Bien ward, Hai Phong city); Nguyen Thi Tuyen (born in 1980, residing in My Hao commune, Hung Yen province); Nguyen Thi Lan (born in 1977, Dong Hung commune, Hung Yen); Dinh Thi Nghi (born in 1982, Than Khe commune, Hung Yen); Nguyen Binh Loan (born in 1968, Than Khe commune, Hung Yen); Pham Xuan Toan (born in 1975, Than Khe commune, Hung Yen province), Nguyen Gia Dat (born in 1971, Bac Tien Hung commune, Hung Yen province), Trinh Ha Viet (born in 1991, Ha Nam commune, Hai Phong city) for the act of providing and trading food originating from dead pigs, sick pigs due to African swine fever according to Clause 4, Article 317 of the Penal Code.
The case is being further investigated and clarified by Hai Phong City functional agencies.
