In Thai Nguyen's socio-economic development strategy for the period 2021 - 2030, the expansion of industrial zones and clusters gradually towards the North is focused on exploiting the potential of the mountainous region.
Not only solving the employment problem, these industrial clusters when completed will create momentum for local socio-economic development.

In Dong Luong village (Quang Chu commune), the Quang Chu Industrial Cluster project started construction in October 2024 with a total investment of nearly 500 billion VND.
The industrial cluster has an area of 74ha, located on the traffic axis connecting to the Cho Moi - Thai Nguyen expressway.
The industrial cluster is oriented to focus on attracting businesses producing and processing wood, food, beverages, and paper production.
It is expected that when the area is filled, Quang Chu Industrial Cluster will attract over 10,000 workers, mainly local people.
According to PV's records, after a long period of construction, the project has basically been completed. At the construction site, construction units are completing technical infrastructure items. Some factories have begun to operate.

According to the Quang Chu Industrial Cluster Project Management Board, the unit is focusing on completing the electricity and water systems, especially the wastewater treatment system.
It is expected that these items will be completed for acceptance in the second quarter. The goal is that by the fourth quarter of 2026, the industrial cluster will complete the entire infrastructure, exceeding the set schedule.
To date, infrastructure construction at the project has reached 80% of the volume. Four factories have been put into operation, and 2 other factories are being invested in construction.
Also deployed in mountainous areas, Yen Lac Industrial Cluster has an area of 25.6ha. The project has a total investment of phase 1 of about 265 billion VND.
Businesses investing in production in Yen Lac Industrial Cluster are oriented to develop diverse industries such as: Wood processing - civil carpentry applying high technology, export products; mechanical engineering - electronics; textiles - footwear; agricultural and food processing...

It is expected that Yen Lac Industrial Cluster will complete infrastructure construction in the fourth quarter of 2026. Currently, this industrial cluster has attracted 7 businesses to sign investment memorandums of understanding.
The implementation of a series of large-scale projects with a total investment of hundreds of billions of VND, Thai Nguyen expects to create a boost, thereby contributing to realizing the province's industrialization goals in the coming years.
