According to the records of fashion streets in Ninh Kieu district such as Mau Than, 30/4, Nguyen Trai,... even though it is the 2.9 holiday, the shopping atmosphere at the stores is quite deserted. However, many store owners said that revenue is still high because most customers order online.
On the occasion of September 2nd this year, the fashion and accessories store of Ms. Nguyen Thuy Diem (Ninh Kieu district, Can Tho city) earned a profit of 30 million VND/shipment of goods.
Ms. Diem said: "The store specializes in selling clothes and accessories for students at prices under 500,000 VND, so it is affordable for buyers. About a week before the holiday, the store's online orders increased, sometimes livestreaming closed hundreds of orders."
Profits during the holiday season helped Ms. Diem's store generate revenue and sustain itself after a period of struggling due to sluggish sales.
"From the beginning of the year until before the holiday, business was quite bad. There were orders but it was just enough to cover living expenses. Thanks to the long holiday this year, many people went shopping and traveling, which brought revenue to the store," said Ms. Diem.
As for Ms. Pham Thi My's fashion store (3/2 street, Ninh Kieu district), to attract customers, the store has a discount program and preferential vouchers for customers.
Ms. My said: "The store offers a number of promotions such as percentage discounts on total bills and free shipping vouchers to increase competitiveness and attract customers. I invested more than 15 million VND in the clothing shipment and have recovered the capital since August 31. The remaining goods are the profit from this order."
However, Ms. My still has many worries about how to maintain the store after the holiday when the business situation is still difficult.
“Before that, the store was struggling because of few orders, and the most critical time was when we had to reduce the number of employees. After the holiday, I had to increase livestreaming and online sales to maintain the store and not lose money,” said My.
