In 2024, the city's economic situation will continue to maintain its growth momentum, with many improvements. The gross regional domestic product (GRDP) in 2024 is estimated to increase by 7.51% over the same period, ranking 2nd among the 5 centrally-run cities and 29th in the country; budget revenue will exceed 25% of the estimate.
In 2024, accommodation establishments are estimated to serve more than 10.3 million visitors, an increase of 39% over the same period in 2023. Revenue from accommodation and tourism is estimated at more than VND 18,000 billion, an increase of 25% over the same period, and retail sales of goods are estimated at VND 74,800 billion, an increase of 11%.
Da Nang also granted new business registration certificates to 3,372 enterprises, branches and representative offices. The number of enterprises returning to operation increased by 1.2% over the same period.
The city focuses on accelerating the progress of establishing, appraising, approving and announcing zoning plans. Up to now, 9/9 urban zonings and 6/10 functional zonings have been approved. The Standing Committee of the City Party Committee regularly inspects the situation and directs the removal of difficulties and obstacles, accelerating the progress of key projects and works, especially the construction projects of the Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan expressway, and the renovation and upgrading of National Highway 14B (Tuy Loan - Ha Nha section).
The 18th conference, assessing the work situation in 2024, discussing the direction and key tasks in 2025 and giving opinions on the contents according to the working regulations taking place on December 9 and 10, also agreed on the theme for 2025: "A year focusing on streamlining the apparatus associated with cutting administrative procedures, effectively implementing the organization of urban government and specific mechanisms and policies to strongly promote economic growth".
Agree on the economic growth target for 2025 to strive to reach over 10% to realize the city's aspirations and determination in concretizing and implementing the mechanisms and policies issued by the Central Government, creating a premise for the 2025-2030 term.
