On February 3, Mr. Le Quang Hoa - Vice Chairman of Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee received and worked with the delegation of the Danish Embassy in Vietnam led by Mr. Nicolai Prytz, Danish Ambassador. The working session focused on exchanging views on the investment environment and some contents related to Danish projects being implemented in the province.
Speaking at the working session, Mr. Le Quang Hoa gave an overview of the socio-economic development situation of Hung Yen province after merging with Thai Binh province from July 1, 2025. Accordingly, the province's merger has created an open development space, strengthened infrastructure links, and expanded the space to attract domestic and international investment.
With its location adjacent to Hanoi Capital, located in the key economic region of the North, conveniently connected to the Hanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh axis, Hung Yen is currently a locality with many large industrial centers, relatively synchronous infrastructure, and young and dynamic human resources.
In 2025, the province's GRDP is estimated to reach 166. 106 billion VND, an increase of 8.78% compared to 2024, ranking in the top 10 in the country; GRDP per capita reached about 99 million VND. State budget revenue reached 101. 451 billion VND, equal to 183.1% of the estimate, ranking 5th/34 provinces and cities. Hung Yen's Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) in 2024 is in the top 10 in the country.
The whole province currently has 4,050 valid projects, including 3,104 domestic projects with a total registered capital of 793,504 billion VND and 946 FDI projects with a total registered capital of 17,308 billion USD. Danish investors alone currently have 3 projects with a total registered capital of about 20.8 million USD, along with 1 NGO project funded by the Dansk Handicap Forbund (DHF) organization, supporting capacity building for the provincial disability association.

Notably, the Spectre garment technology project of Spectre Real Estate A/S (Denmark) in Song Tra Industrial Park, with a production scale of 2 million products/year, total investment of 19 million USD, is expected to be put into operation from June 2026. The project started on December 5, 2025, currently the Provincial People's Committee is directing departments and branches to focus on removing obstacles related to planning adjustments to ensure implementation progress.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his wish that through the Danish Embassy, Hung Yen will strengthen connections and expand cooperation with Danish businesses in the fields of renewable energy, green industry, high-tech garment, tourism - services, towards sustainable development.
At the same time, he affirmed that the province is committed to accompanying, creating favorable conditions, and ensuring a transparent investment environment for investors, including Danish businesses.
Speaking at the working session, Mr. Nicolai Prytz congratulated the new Hung Yen province after the merger, assessing this as a strategic step, contributing to improving competitiveness and attractiveness in attracting international investment. The Ambassador highly appreciated the investment environment, infrastructure improvement, human resource quality and administrative procedure reform of the province.
Regarding the Spectre project, the Ambassador said that the project is in line with the orientation of modern and environmentally friendly industrial development of Hung Yen, and believes that the project will make a positive contribution to economic growth, creating jobs and improving skills for local workers when it goes into stable operation.
