On January 25, the Office of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee said that the locality has a plan to deploy an assessment and review of the effectiveness of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation for socio-economic development in the province.
The goal of the plan is to measure and quantify the actual contribution of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation to the socio-economic development of the province.
Thereby promoting GRDP growth, improving labor productivity and state governance efficiency. The results of assessment and review will provide official information and data to serve the work of summarizing, comparing, ranking and general evaluation reports.
At the same time, it acts as a scientific and practical basis for the direction and administration of the province, as well as building and adjusting the goals, tasks and solutions for developing science, technology, innovation and digital transformation in the coming time.
The assessment focuses on 4 main groups of criteria, including: input criteria group; result criteria group; efficiency criteria group; impact criteria group.
Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee assigns directors of departments, heads of departments and branches under the province, and Chairmen of People's Committees of communes, wards and special zones to proactively develop plans and organize the effective implementation of related tasks based on their assigned functions and tasks; periodically report the results of implementation to the Department of Science and Technology for synthesis.
After the locality issued the plan, on January 25, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung (a resident of Nha Trang ward) said that the assessment is necessary to "know clearly what benefits digital transformation brings to people, especially in resolving administrative procedures and accessing public services".
