On December 5, the People's Committee of Cao Bang province held a meeting on preparations for the Cao Bang (Vietnam) - Baise (China) International Trade Fair.
The fair is expected to take place from December 12-17, with the participation of 350 booths displaying products from Cao Bang, domestic provinces and Baise city, Guangxi province (China).
At the meeting, relevant units reported on the preparation progress, including booth decoration, arrangement, and reception of delegates. Plans for security, order, environmental sanitation, fire prevention and fighting, and promotional activities for the fair were also thoroughly discussed. The Organizing Committee agreed on plans for the opening ceremony, cultural activities, receptions, and reception of international delegates.
At the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Bich Ngoc - Vice Chairman of Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee - requested departments and branches to continue to coordinate closely and complete preparations, especially regarding customs procedures, food safety, and plans to welcome delegates.
The event will be held at Km5 Square, De Tham Ward, Cao Bang City. At this fair, Chinese enterprises are expected to participate in 20-30 booths with products such as processed agricultural products, consumer goods, machinery and equipment, electronics, refrigeration, household appliances, energy, etc.
In parallel with the fair, the two sides will hold talks on economic and trade cooperation between Cao Bang province and Baise city, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China). The content includes evaluating the results of cooperation in the past, proposing future cooperation directions, proposing solutions to promote trade, import and export, and signing a memorandum of understanding on trade development.
According to the reporter's investigation, the two localities are agreeing on the fair schedule, immigration procedures, forms of goods import, transportation plans, as well as reception and logistics work.
Actual record on December 5, Km5 Square area is being renovated, sidewalk system is being treated, preparing to replace new tiles. Theater system and booths are being framed.
Many people believe that this event will be a place for small and medium-sized enterprises to expand international cooperation, exchange, sign contracts, promote investment, and boost domestic production. At the same time, it will also contribute to attracting import and export through border gates, creating a stable and long-term business environment in the Vietnam - China border area.
