According to the Government Newspaper, in his concluding remarks, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh assigned the Government Office, ministries and branches to synthesize and absorb opinions at the seminar, urgently submit and issue the Prime Minister's conclusion for ministries, branches and agencies to implement to facilitate businesses in general, including US businesses, promote the role of businesses in the spirit of state-owned enterprise, people and businesses as the center, the subject, clearly assign people, work, time, responsibility, and results.
Giving opinions on some specific contents, the Prime Minister directed the Ministry of Science and Technology to urgently pilot the licensing of Starlink satellite Internet; the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Public Security and relevant agencies to urgently work directly, encourage FedEx to invest in building a cargo warehouse, express delivery at Long Thanh airport area (Dong Nai) and Chu Lai airport (Quang Nam), Gia Binh airport (Bac Ninh)...
The Prime Minister called on US businesses to continue researching, investing, and expanding production and business with Vietnam.
Expressing some wishes and recommendations to US businesses, the Prime Minister suggested that, first of all, it is necessary to actively contribute to promoting the two countries' relations to become better, more substantial and more effective, contributing to the development of the two countries, bringing benefits to the people of the two countries; US businesses continue to respond and participate in promoting rapid and sustainable growth of Vietnam, ensuring social security, and protecting the environment.
Second, US businesses should further increase high-quality investment, especially technology transfer, high-quality human resource training, cooperation in science and technology, innovation, emerging industries such as big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, optoelectronics, Internet of Things, Biomedicine industry, etc. The Prime Minister hopes that US businesses will consider Vietnam as a long-term investment base, with a vision of 50 years, 100 years.
Third, continue to strengthen cooperation between Vietnamese enterprises, create conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to participate in the ecosystem and global supply chain of US enterprises, diversify markets, products, and supply chains to develop supporting industries.
Fourth, promote initiative and creativity in increasing consultation and policy comments, building and perfecting institutions and smart governance from the reality that the US is a developed country, the world's largest economy.
Fifth, there is a voice with the US government to remove Vietnam from the list of countries with restrictions on high-tech exports and recognize Vietnam as a market economy,
Sixth, the US trade representative agency is seeking opinions on Vietnam's trade policies. The Prime Minister requested US businesses to contribute objective opinions from their practical operations in Vietnam, truly reflecting Vietnam's increasingly improved business environment, efforts and positive reform results towards transparency, fairness, no discrimination, compliance with market rules, and increasingly favorable conditions for the operations of foreign businesses to do business stably and long-term.
Seventh, US businesses continue to do business in accordance with the law, compete fairly with other businesses; actively participate in social security programs, especially programs to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses and develop social housing.
Eighth, the Prime Minister hopes that the relationship between US businesses and Vietnamese ministries, branches, agencies and localities will become increasingly close and effective in the spirit of sincerity and friendship. If there are problems, discuss and share work and initiatives that are both beneficial to both sides to find common ground.
