On June 2, according to information from the Department of Construction, Dong Nai province is inviting investors to the Long Thanh waterway project.
This project is located in Vinh Cuu district, Dong Nai province with a land area of over 13 hectares, a designed capacity of 600,000 m3/day and night, and a total investment of over VND6,900 billion.
The investment form is bidding to select investors according to the provisions of the law on bidding.
The factory is located in Vinh Cuu district (after Tri An hydropower reservoir), the pipeline goes along Thien Tan road, through National Highway 1, Bui Van Hoa road, Vo Nguyen Giap road, then goes along the corridor of Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway.
The Long Thanh water project aims to provide water for production and daily life in Bien Hoa, Long Thanh, Cam My and neighboring areas with the main goal of providing safe water.
The Long Thanh Waterway project has been proposed for many years, but because the land locations for infrastructure projects are not in accordance with the planning, there is no detailed planning or zoning planning, the pipeline has not been updated in the local relevant planning, leading to the project not yet qualifying for bidding to select investors.
The Department of Construction recommends that the Provincial People's Committee consider and approve the policy for the organization of a detailed plan of 1/500 or a zoning plan at a scale of 1/2,000 for 4 land areas including: clean water treatment cluster (Vinh Cuu district), pressure increase pumping station No. 1 (Vinh Cuu district), pressure increase pumping station No. 2 (Bien Hoa city) and pressure increase pumping station No. 3 (Long Thanh district) to meet the conditions for bidding to select investors according to regulations.
The Provincial Party Committee has included the project in the list of key projects that need to be prioritized for implementation to ensure clean water for socio-economic development, contributing to the completion of technical infrastructure and protection of groundwater resources.
