On November 15, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee said that the whole province currently has 166 enterprises and projects operating in industrial parks in the area.
The total production and business value is estimated at VND 24,878.9 billion, export turnover is USD 523.9 million and the budget is paid VND 929.7 billion.
Key industries in Lam Dong industrial parks include: Garment, footwear, wood, paper, agricultural - forestry - fishery processing, cashew nuts, mechanics, food, construction materials and minerals.
In general, production activities in industrial parks in Lam Dong province are stable, but there are still some enterprises facing difficulties, temporarily suspending operations and no plans to restore.
Statistics from the beginning of the year to date, industrial parks in the province have attracted 13 more investment projects. Of which, there is 1 FDI project with a total leased area of about 27.7 hectares. The total registered investment capital of the 13 projects is 958.2 billion VND and 35 million USD.
Up to now, Lam Dong has 15 industrial parks, with 229 projects still in effect (including 51 FDI projects, 178 domestic projects), with a total registered capital of VND 43,411.6 billion and USD 466.4 million. The registered land area is 713.25ha, the occupancy rate is nearly 50%.
Accordingly, with this result, Lam Dong continues to affirm its role as a potential destination in attracting industrial investment in the Central Highlands region, especially in the fields of agricultural processing, construction materials and supporting industries.
