Changes in fixed Internet service prices have just been simultaneously implemented by three major network operators in Vietnam. In which, Viettel and FPT increased to 195,000 VND per month for the lowest package, while VNPT was 19,000 VND.
Previously, the "floor" fixed Internet package of all three network operators was 180,000 VND/month, for a download speed of 300 Mbps.

In addition to the price, each network operator also has its own policies, such as giving an additional month to those who pay a year in advance, and a modem gift. In addition, users also have to pay a first-time installation fee of 300,000 VND.
Especially in some urban areas such as inner Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, VNPT and Viettel have their own prices, in which the lowest monthly package is 235,000-25,000 VND.
According to PV's records, some other packages of network operators also increased by tens of thousands of VND compared to before.

This is a rare time that fixed Internet service providers in Vietnam have increased charges after a long period of offering competitive packages in terms of price and speed.
In the 2024-2025 period, three network operators continuously race to increase Internet speed to 1 Gbps, apply XGSPON technology, add television content, games, social networks...
In April 2025, FPT, Viettel, VNPT also simultaneously doubled the minimum speed for users, up to 300 Mbps without increasing prices.

The last time the network operator implemented a similar move was in 2023. At that time, all three stopped providing cheap packages, unlimited data packages, and fixed Internet services required installment fees of 300,000 VND, instead of being free as before. Network operators also have policies of refusing to sign new contracts with people who still owe fees at other network operators.
At that time, the management agency said that this move was not a violation, so it did not intervene, and at the same time said that telecommunications charges in Vietnam "always decrease and decrease to the point of not being able to decrease anymore", even belonging to the cheapest group in the world.
Too low freight rates can make it difficult for service providers when reinvesting. Telecommunications businesses are allowed to decide on prices applied to users based on their business development orientation and carry out procedures for registration and notification of freight rates according to regulations.
