On January 6, information from the Department of Industry and Trade of Gia Lai province said that the unit is actively supporting investors to urgently complete procedures and documents, striving to put 384 MW of wind power into commercial operation in the first quarter of 2025.
There are a total of 17 wind power projects in the province with a total capacity of 1,242.4 MW. To date, 808.4 MW of wind power has been put into commercial operation (11 projects with a total capacity of 742.4 MW and 2 part projects with a total capacity of 66 MW).
Thus, in Gia Lai province, there are still 384 MW of wind power projects that have been completed but are not yet qualified for commercial operation.
Currently, the Department of Industry and Trade of Gia Lai province is actively supporting investors to urgently complete procedures and documents to strive to connect electricity and put into commercial operation.
The main reason why some wind power projects in Gia Lai have not yet come into operation is because the power poles were built on forestry land, the purpose has not been changed, land procedures have not been followed...
In Kon Tum, the Tan Tan Nhat wind power project invested by Tan Tan Nhat Joint Stock Company has been completed but has not yet had a power operation license or signed a power purchase contract.
According to the Department of Industry and Trade of Kon Tum province, the project still has many problems with legal procedures, waiting for approval of additional plans to implement Power Plan VIII (phase 2).
After completing the land lease step, the investor will submit a report on the completion of the construction project to the Department of Electricity and Renewable Energy (Ministry of Industry and Trade) for inspection and notification of acceptance results.
The next step, when obtaining the electricity operation license issued by the Electricity Regulatory Authority (Ministry of Industry and Trade), Tan Tan Nhat Joint Stock Company will be qualified to work with Vietnam Electricity Group to negotiate and sign a power purchase contract.
