Improving market forecasting capacity
In 2025, the Gia Lai Provincial Industry and Trade sector sets important goals to promote economic development, enhance competitiveness and integrate into the market.
Total retail sales of goods and service revenue is expected to reach VND 66,500 billion. Export turnover is estimated at 850 million USD, while import turnover is about 120 million USD.
To achieve the set targets, the provincial Department of Industry and Trade focuses on enhancing the effectiveness of state management in the field of trade, aiming to build a favorable and competitive business environment for all economic sectors.

Along with that, the department promotes the development of high-quality trade and service sectors, especially logistics, e-commerce and services supporting industrial - urban development.
Large-scale commercial projects such as shopping malls, supermarkets, unit markets, exhibition areas, fairs, etc. will be focused on investment and implementation.
Notably, the functional sector will pilot a cashless payment market model, in line with the trend of modern digital transformation.
In the export sector, Gia Lai will focus on promoting direct exports of local key products, while improving the quality of information and market forecasts.

International trade promotion programs will be expanded to seek and exploit new, potential markets.
Promoting digital transformation
In addition, domestic trade promotion is also a focus of practical programs such as "Bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas" and "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods".
The province pays special attention to developing markets in rural areas, ethnic minority areas and disadvantaged areas. These solutions not only create conditions for business entities to connect and consume products but also contribute to orienting sustainable production and consumption.

A notable highlight is the support of businesses, cooperatives and localities to bring specialties and characteristics to participate in fairs, trade exhibitions, supply chains and major domestic and foreign e-commerce platforms. This is considered a practical solution to improve competitiveness and expand product consumption markets.
Finally, promoting the application of information technology and digital transformation in trade promotion activities will be the key key to helping Gia Lai catch up with the trend of modern trade development.
This plan is a specific step to implement the Strategy "Domestic Trade Development for the period up to 2030, vision to 2045" in Gia Lai province, contributing to the sustainable and effective development of the Industry and Trade sector in the coming time.
