USD price today decreased slightly, Gold price today skyrockets to 2-month peak peak
The US Dollar Index (DXY) measuring the fluctuations of the greenback against 6 major currencies (EUR, JPY, GBP, CAD, SEK, CHF) is currently at 93.907.
Although the USD price decreased slightly, it still approached the peak of 2021. Meanwhile, in the cryptocurrency market, Bitcoin prices set a historic peak record when inflation increased.
The USD/JPY pair fell 0.35% to 112.82.
The AUD/USD pair decreased by 0.13% and the USD/USD pair increased by 0.07%. The US dollar fell against the New Zealand dollar as investors were wary of the possibility that the Reserve Bank of New Zealand could raise interest rates by another 50 basis points at the end of the month.
