On the morning of April 21, Politburo member, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the National Assembly Delegation of Can Tho City met with voters before the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly.
According to the plan, the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly will conduct 2 sessions. Round 1 from 5 - 28; Round 2 from 11 - 28 June, a meeting will be held at the National Assembly House.
At this session, the National Assembly will implement a number of specific contents, such as: Reviewing and deciding to amend and supplement a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution; Reviewing and approving 30 draft laws and 7 draft resolutions on legal norms.

In addition to 7 resolutions on legal regulations, the meeting may issue other draft resolutions to serve the organizational structure of the political system; The law project, other draft resolutions (in case of being added to the legislative program or is added to the expected meeting program as prescribed in Clause 2, Article 26 of the Law on Promulgation of Legal Documents). Besides, the National Assembly commented on 6 law projects.
In addition, consider and decide on issues on socio-economics, state budget, supervise and decide on other important issues at the session.

Regarding the investment and production and business activities in the first quarter of 2025, Can Tho city has granted new business registrations to 521 enterprises of all kinds with a total registered capital of VND 2,002.347 billion, an increase of 23.46% in the number of enterprises.
The total number of enterprises voluntarily dissolved was 40 enterprises, down 23.08% over the same period; 590 enterprises registered to temporarily suspend operations, up 18% over the same period and 219 enterprises registered to resume operations, up 31.93% over the same period.

Attracting domestic investment (outside industrial parks), accumulated by the end of the first quarter of 2025, the city currently has 94 projects approved for investment policies under implementation, with a total area of about 1,922.61 hectares.
Attracting foreign direct investment (FDI), by the end of the first quarter of 2025, there are 79 foreign direct investment projects in the area, with a total registered investment capital of about 2,211.70 million USD (In the Industrial Park: 29 projects, total registered capital of 612.33 million USD; outside the Industrial Park: 50 projects, total registered capital of 1,607.37 million USD).

Regarding the operation of industrial parks, accumulated in the first quarter of 2025, the total revenue of enterprises operating in industrial parks in Can Tho city is 667.8 million USD, down 2.8% over the same period in 2024.
The total number of employees working in Can Tho industrial parks by the end of March 2025 is 46,949 employees, an increase of 4,743 employees compared to the same period in 2024; of which, the number of employees of FDI enterprises is 23,363 employees.
