Retail gasoline and oil prices today, May 14 at PVOIL continue to be maintained according to the adjustment level from the operating period on May 7 of the inter-Ministry of Industry and Trade - Finance. After the strong increase at the beginning of the month, the general level of gasoline prices is still anchored in the high zone, while diesel oil maintains a more stable trend:
According to PVOIL's latest price list, RON 95-III gasoline is currently sold at 24,350 VND/liter, continuing to be the most popular gasoline item with the highest price in the retail market.
Meanwhile, E10 RON 95-III gasoline is listed at 23,730 VND/liter. E5 RON 92-II bio-gasoline is currently maintained at 23,790 VND/liter after recording the strongest increase in the previous operating period.
In the oil group, DO 0.05S-II oil is currently sold at a price of 27,490 VND/liter, while DO 0.001S-V oil is anchored at 28,750 VND/liter.
According to records, the retail price level at PVOIL is currently equivalent to Petrolimex and MIPEC in many key commodities such as RON 95-III gasoline, E5 RON 92-II gasoline and diesel oil. This shows that the domestic gasoline and oil market is maintaining a stable state after a period of strong fluctuations in early May.
In that context, starting from May 15, 2026, PVOIL will officially deploy the business of E10 biofuel at nearly 1,000 gas stations nationwide. This move is considered a major step in the roadmap for developing biofuels and promoting the green energy transition process in Vietnam.
According to PVOIL, all preparations for the deployment of E10 gasoline business throughout the system have been completed, including mixing infrastructure, storage, transportation, distribution system and a plan to ensure the supply of ethanol for large-scale mixing.
Before the simultaneous deployment, PVOIL's gas stations have completed technical reviews of tanks, pumps, pipelines and measuring equipment. Product information updates on pumps are also carried out synchronously throughout the system.
The enterprise said that the cleaning of tanks, inspection of sealability and assessment of compatibility of equipment with E10 gasoline have been implemented to ensure fuel quality as well as safety during operation.
For the amount of RON 95 mineral gasoline still existing in stores, PVOIL will continue to sell it all before switching to completely trading E10 gasoline.
To ensure product quality and operation safety, PVOIL strictly controls the entire process from mixing, transportation, storage to distribution at retail stores. The Corporation has also issued a technical handbook to ensure synchronous deployment throughout the system.
Before nationwide deployment, PVOIL test-sold E10 gasoline from August 1, 2025 in Hanoi and Hai Phong before expanding to many other localities. As of May 13, 2026, there were 715 gasoline and oil stores of PVOIL trading E10 gasoline.
According to the business, actual operating results show that E10 gasoline mixed and supplied by PVOIL fully meets technical requirements, operates stably on vehicles and is gradually accepted by consumers.
In parallel with preparations at the retail system, PVOIL has also upgraded the blending infrastructure from E5 to E10 gasoline, and expanded the tank system, technology pipelines and ethanol capacity.
Currently, PVOIL's total E10 gasoline blending capacity reaches nearly 4 million m3 per year, ready to supply the entire system as well as units in market demand.
Domestic gasoline and oil prices are still directly affected by the developments of world oil prices.
The deployment of E10 gasoline is expected to contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, promoting the use of clean fuels, diversifying gasoline and oil supply sources and supporting Vietnam's "zero" net emission target by 2050.
