Recorded retail gasoline and oil prices today May 15 at the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) system were adjusted down simultaneously according to the operating period from 3:00 PM on May 14 of the inter-Ministry of Industry and Trade - Finance:
According to the latest price list, RON 95-V unleaded gasoline in region 1 (area near import ports, wholesale warehouses or gasoline and oil production facilities) decreased to 24,970 VND/liter, while region 2 (areas far from ports, far from wholesale warehouses, far from gasoline and oil production facilities) is at 25,460 VND/liter. Compared to the previous operating period, this item has retreated from the 25,000 VND/liter mark in region 1.
Meanwhile, RON 95-III gasoline is currently listed by Petrolimex at 24,070 VND/liter in region 1 and 24,550 VND/liter in region 2.
Notably, E10 RON 95-V bio-gasoline is officially deployed by Petrolimex with a selling price of 24,350 VND/liter in region 1 and 24,830 VND/liter in region 2. This is considered a new step in the roadmap to promote biofuels and green energy conversion in Vietnam.
For E10 RON 95-III bio-gasoline, the current selling price is at 23,450 VND/liter in region 1 and 23,910 VND/liter in region 2. Meanwhile, E5 RON 92-II gasoline is listed at 23,130 VND/liter in region 1 and 23,590 VND/liter in region 2.
In the oil group, 0.001S-V diesel oil is currently priced at 28,480 VND/liter in region 1 and 29,040 VND/liter in region 2. 0.05S-II diesel oil is sold at 27,220 VND/liter in region 1 and 27,760 VND/liter in region 2.
Kerosene 2-K is currently at 27,710 VND/liter in region 1 and 28,260 VND/liter in region 2.
For the mazut group, Petrolimex listed mazut N02B (3.5S) at 20, 580 VND/kg in region 1 and 20, 990 VND/kg in region 2. Mazut 180cst - 0.5S (RMG) currently has a price of 23, 680 VND/kg in region 1 and 24, 150 VND/kg in region 2.
According to Petrolimex, the new price is applied from 3:00 PM on May 14 until the next operating period of the inter-Ministry of Industry and Trade - Finance. The selling price is deployed throughout the system of stores, agents and franchise points of enterprises nationwide.
According to records, this downward adjustment reflects the cooling down of world oil prices after a period of strong fluctuations related to supply concerns and geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
In the context of the global energy market still fluctuating, Petrolimex's simultaneous deployment of E10 bio-gasoline is expected to contribute to promoting clean fuel consumption and supporting Vietnam's emission reduction goals.
