World oil price today
At the end of a trading week, WTI crude oil was at 61.02 USD/barrel last week, increasing to 62.49 USD/barrel this weekend. Overall last week, WTI crude oil increased by 61.03 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 2.4% compared to last week.
Brent oil was at 63.91 USD/barrel last weekend, increasing to 65.41 USD/barrel this weekend. Overall last week, Brent oil increased by 1.5 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 2.3% compared to last week.
Thus, world oil prices continued to recover last week with an increase of more than 2% for the whole week.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On May 18, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities are applying) are as follows:
The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil has been adjusted according to the price of the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade jointly announced in the price management session on the afternoon of May 15, 2025. Accordingly, petroleum products have increased simultaneously.
Accordingly, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by 403 VND/liter, RON 95-III gasoline increased by 415 VND/liter, diesel increased by 419 VND/liter, kerosene increased by 285 VND/liter and mazut increased by 627 VND/kg.

Hoang Trong General Trading Company Limited: Diesel 0.05S - II: 1,100 VND/liter, applied at Hai Linh warehouse, Hai Phong; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,150 VND/liter, applied at Hai Linh warehouse, Hai Phong; Diesel 0.05S - II: 900 VND/liter, applied at Bac Ninh warehouse; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,000 VND/liter, applied at Bac Ninh warehouse; E5 gasoline: 1,000 VND/liter, applied at Dinh Vu warehouse, Petec.
Tu Luc Petroleum: Diesel discount 0.05S-II: 1,050 VND/liter; Diesel 0.001S-V: Out of stock; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,150; E5 gasoline: 1,000 VND/liter.
MIPEC Petroleum: RON 95 - III Petroleum Discount: 1,050 VND/liter; E5 Petroleum: 900 VND/liter; Diesel 0.05S-II: 1,100 VND/liter. Applicable to the Northern region.
Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, retail prices of gasoline may have opposite adjustments.
Of which, RON 95 gasoline price is forecast to decrease by about 100 VND/liter; E5 gasoline decreases by about 90 VND/liter; Diesel increases by about 190 VND/liter.
