World oil price today
World oil prices today fell sharply. At 10:12, WTI crude oil was at 61.43 USD/barrel, down 1.72 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 2.72%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at 63.15 USD/barrel, opening today's session at 63.62.85 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 64.42 USD/barrel, down 1.67 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 2.53%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 66.09 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 65.82 USD/barrel.
Thus, world oil prices are on a sharp decline. At the end of yesterday's trading session (May 14), Brent and WTI oil prices decreased by 0.81% and 0.82%, respectively. By this morning's session, both oil products plummeted due to the sudden increase in US crude oil inventories, causing investors to worry about excess supply.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On May 15, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities are applying) are as follows:
The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil has been adjusted according to the price of the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade jointly announced in the price management session on the afternoon of May 8, 2025. Accordingly, gasoline products have decreased in price. E5 RON 92 gasoline price decreased by 377 VND/liter, RON 95-III gasoline decreased by 407 VND/liter, diesel decreased by 550 VND/liter, kerosene decreased by 623 VND/liter and mazut decreased by 665 VND/kg.

Hoang Trong General Trading Company Limited: Diesel 0.05S - II: 500 VND/liter, applied at Hai Linh warehouse, Hai Phong; RON 95 - III gasoline: 500 VND/liter, applied at Hai Linh warehouse, Hai Phong; Diesel 0.05S - II: 350 VND/liter, applied at Bac Ninh warehouse; RON 95 - III gasoline: 350 VND/liter, applied at Bac Ninh warehouse; E5 gasoline: 450 VND/liter, applied at Dinh Vu warehouse, Petec.
Tu Luc Petroleum: Diesel discount 0.05S-II: 600 VND/liter; Diesel 0.001S-V: 550 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 600; E5 gasoline: 550 VND/liter.

Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the price adjustment period this afternoon, retail prices of gasoline may increase.
In particular, RON 95 gasoline price is forecast to increase by about 420 VND/liter; E5 gasoline may increase by about 410 VND/liter; Diesel oil increases by about 420 VND/liter.
