World oil price today
World oil prices today increased sharply again. At 10:28 (Vietnam time), WTI crude oil was at 73.56 USD/barrel, up 0.29 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.40%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at 73.27 USD/barrel, opening today's session at 73.57 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 76.80 USD/barrel, up 0.35 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.46%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 76.45 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 76.84 USD/barrel.
Thus, world oil prices rebounded strongly after witnessing a previous cooling session. At the end of yesterday's trading session (June 17), Brent oil price increased by 5.01%; WTI oil price increased by 5%. By this morning's session, both oil products continued to increase.
According to analysts, world oil prices increased sharply due to escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. Although it has not yet recorded a clear disruption in global supply, Iran has temporarily suspended part of the exploitation activities at the South Pars gas field - a joint mine with Qatar - after an airstrike on an Israeli target that caught fire in the area on June 13.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On June 18, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities are applying) are as follows:

The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil has been adjusted according to the price of the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade jointly announced in the price management session on the afternoon of June 12, 2025. Accordingly, domestic gasoline prices have increased simultaneously.
E5 RON 92 gasoline price increased by 199 VND/liter, RON 95-III gasoline price increased by 269 VND/liter, diesel price increased by 280 VND/liter, kerosene price increased by 227 VND/liter and mazut price increased by 283 VND/kg.

Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the upcoming price adjustment period, retail prices of gasoline may increase sharply.
In particular, the price of RON 95 - III gasoline is forecast to increase by about 1,210 VND/liter; E5 RON 92 - II gasoline increases by about 1,100 VND/liter; Diesel increases by about 1,350 VND/liter.
