World oil price today
World oil prices today fell sharply. At 10:58, WTI crude oil was at 66.58 USD/barrel, down 0.17 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 25%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at 66.75 USD/barrel, opening today's session at 66.63 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 70.38 USD/barrel, down 0.18 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.26%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 70.56 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 70.38 USD/barrel.
Thus, world oil prices are on a sharp decline, at the end of yesterday's trading session (18.), Brent and WTI oil prices decreased by 0.7% and 1.01%, respectively. The decline continued in this morning's session.
According to analysts, oil prices plummeted after the news that US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed measures to end the three-year conflict in Ukraine. Reuters said that Mr. Putin has agreed with Mr. Trump's proposal that Russia and Ukraine temporarily suspend attacks on each other's energy infrastructure within 30 days. Some experts say that even if the US and Russia reach a ceasefire agreement, Russian energy exports may still need a long time to recover.
In terms of supply, data from the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) shows that Russia's crude oil output in 2024 will reach about 9.2 million barrels/day, down from 9.8 million barrels/day in 2022 and significantly lower than the record of 10.6 million barrels/day recorded in 2016.

On March 19, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities are applying) are as follows:

The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil was adjusted by the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade in the price management session on the afternoon of March 13, 2025. Accordingly, gasoline prices have decreased sharply.
E5 RON 92 gasoline price decreased by 680 VND/liter, RON 95-III gasoline decreased by 753 VND/liter, kerosene decreased by 483 VND/liter, diesel decreased by 435 VND/liter, mazut decreased by 155 VND/kg.

Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, gasoline prices may increase.
In particular, the price of RON 95 - III gasoline is forecast to increase by about 500-550 VND/liter; E5 gasoline increases by about 400-450 VND/liter; Diesel increases by about 40 VND/liter.
