World oil price today
World oil prices continue to increase today. At 11:01, WTI crude oil was at 67.38 USD/barrel, up 0.47 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.70%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at 66.91 USD/barrel, opening today's session at 66.31 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 71.08 USD/barrel, up 0.50 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.71%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 70.58 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 71.08 USD/barrel.
World oil prices continued to increase sharply in the first trading session of the week. According to analysts, this week, in addition to information related to the US interest rate orientation, developments in tariff policies are expected to continue to attract market attention. The new tax rate can directly affect corporate profits, while pushing up consumer costs.
Recently, US President Donald Trump announced that he would impose a tax of up to 200% on all wine and alcoholic products imported from Europe. A day earlier, the European Commission said it would impose a retaliatory tax on the group of $28 billion worth of goods from the US, in response to Washington's tariffs on imported steel and aluminum.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On March 17, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities are applying) are as follows:
The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil was adjusted by the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade in the price management session on the afternoon of March 13, 2025. Accordingly, gasoline prices have decreased sharply.
E5 RON 92 gasoline price decreased by 680 VND/liter, RON 95-III gasoline decreased by 753 VND/liter, kerosene decreased by 483 VND/liter, diesel decreased by 435 VND/liter, mazut decreased by 155 VND/kg.

Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, gasoline prices may have opposite adjustments.
In particular, the price of RON 95 - III gasoline is forecast to increase by about 320 VND/liter; E5 gasoline increases by about 290 VND/liter; Diesel oil decreases by about 60 VND/liter.
