World oil price today
World oil prices today increased sharply. At 10:54 (Vietnam time), WTI crude oil was at 75.28 USD/barrel, up 1.44 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 1.95%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at 73.84 USD/barrel, opening today's session at 76.75 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 76.88 USD/barrel, up 1.40 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 1.85%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 75.84 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 77.34 USD/barrel.
Thus, world oil prices in the first trading session of the week continued to increase sharply.
According to analysts, world oil prices increased simultaneously after the US launched an airstrike on Iran in the early morning of June 22. The increase could be stronger if Iran responds strongly, causing serious disruptions to oil supply.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On June 23, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities are applying) are as follows:
The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil has been adjusted according to the price of the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade jointly announced in the price management session on the afternoon of June 19, 2025. Accordingly, domestic gasoline prices increased simultaneously.
E5 RON 92 gasoline price increased by VND 1,170/liter; RON 95 gasoline increased by VND 1,280/liter; diesel increased by VND 1,450/liter; kerosene increased by VND 1,410/liter; mazut increased by VND 1,180/kg.

Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the upcoming price adjustment period, retail prices of gasoline may continue to increase sharply.
In particular, the price of RON 95 - III gasoline is forecast to increase by about 800-1,000 VND/liter; E5 RON 92 - II gasoline increases by about 800-1,000 VND/liter; Diesel increases by about 1,400-1,600 VND/liter.
