World oil prices today
World oil prices continue to rise. At the end of yesterday's trading session (September 8), WTI and Brent oil prices increased by 1.7% and 0.9% respectively.
By this morning's session, both oil commodities continued the upward trend. At 8:08 am (Vietnam time), WTI oil price was at 94.62 USD/barrel, up 1.59 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 1.71%. WTI oil price closed the previous trading session at 93.03 USD/barrel, and opened today's session at 94.30 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 99.46 USD/barrel, up 0.14 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.14%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 99.32 USD/barrel, and opened today's session at 99.35 USD/barrel.
This is the highest closing price of Brent oil since July 23, while WTI oil prices reached the highest level since June 4.
World oil prices continued to rise sharply after Houthi forces in Yemen, backed by Iran, launched attacks targeting several cities and energy facilities in Saudi Arabia.
The new developments increase concerns about oil exports in the Gulf region. Previously, oil transportation through this region was seriously affected after Iran's attacks on energy infrastructure and ships across the Strait of Hormuz.

Domestic gasoline and oil price forecast for the next period
According to a representative of a gasoline and oil business, it is predicted that in the next price adjustment period, retail gasoline and oil prices may increase.
In which:
- E10 gasoline increases by about 1,300 VND/liter
- E5 RON 92 - II gasoline increased by about 1,400 VND/liter;
- Diesel oil increased by about 700 VND/liter.
