Grab organizes Restaurant Partner Conference, useful advice on taxes and growth solutions

To realize the commitment to accompany business partners, on July 30, 2026, Grab Vietnam organized a restaurant partner conference with the participation of more than 300 partners.

In the first time the Conference was held in Hanoi, with most customers being business households and individual businesses (HKD/CNKD), Grab Vietnam focused on creating conditions for business partners to access useful information and advice on new tax regulations as well as related information.

The focus of the conference is sharing and answering from experts from tax authorities and tax consulting companies about tax policies and direct impacts on sellers on e-commerce platforms.

The conference takes place in the context of the Government issuing new tax policies and regulations to increase management efficiency with the digital economy. Among them, Decree 68/2026/ND-CP stipulates tax policies and tax management for business households and individual businesses; Decree 252/2026/ND-CP details a number of articles and measures to organize and guide the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Tax Administration.

In addition, Decree 254/2026/ND-CP detailing a number of articles and measures to organize and guide the implementation of the Law on Tax Administration on electronic invoices and electronic documents, from January 1, 2026, business households/business households with annual revenue over 01 billion VND are required to apply electronic invoices according to regulations.

At the conference, Ms. Van Thanh Hien, Chief Specialist of Room 3, E-commerce Tax Sub-Department, Tax Department, introduced the latest updated business household classification table, thereby emphasizing that business households/business households need to clearly know which group they belong to along with accompanying tax obligations.

For HKD/CNKD operating on e-commerce platforms, this important knowledge also includes understanding clearly which part of the floor's obligations can be supported and which part of HKD/CNKD must be carried out by themselves.

Representatives of the Tax Sub-Department also spent time answering questions that many HKD/CNKD may be facing, such as whether to prioritize implementation if there is a change in revenue leading to changes in tax obligations, or whether HKD/CNKD needs to issue invoices for transactions that have been tax deducted by e-commerce platforms.

Mr. Tran Hoang Tuan, Market Development Director of Grab Vietnam, said: "The process of accompanying business partners has helped us realize that not every restaurant or eatery owner has enough resources to access information fully and adjust operations to adapt to new changes in the market. That is why we strive to connect them with reputable and reliable information sources to help them become more confident in business knowledge and compliance. In the long term, Grab also focuses on investing in developing technical solutions to help reduce the pressure on technology and processes that partners face.

With this approach, we want to help improve the capacity of business households/individuals who account for a large proportion in the F&B industry, while contributing to the sustainable development of the industry.

Not only tax knowledge or legal regulations in general, a constant concern for HKD/CNKD is how to reach more customer segments and reach a new milestone in business operations. With the theme "Numbering up to bills - Grab leads growth", the restaurant partner conference answered this question by introducing solutions to effectively reach corporate customer groups.

According to Grab's records, corporate customers currently have an increasing budget for food delivery services, but they tend to order at restaurants and eateries that comply with tax and invoice regulations.

In addition, users using business accounts to place orders also have a habit of using the Group Order feature, or ordering through GrabFood's 39,000 VND meal collection. Full understanding and compliance with tax regulations combined with actively participating in consumption solutions designed by Grab suitable for corporate customer segments will help open more doors for growth for HKD/CNKD on the Grab platform.

As one of the business partners participating in the event, Mr. Le Duc Anh, owner of the Bun Cha Viet brand (Hanoi) said: "The sharing about the new tax regulations at today's conference is very practical and useful for business households like us. I have grasped more about the steps to be taken to ensure that the restaurant's operations comply with the regulations of the tax authorities. In terms of business, our brand has recently participated in co-sponsoring programs, 39,000 VND Meals, etc. and is recording a steady increase in new customers and positive revenue growth.
