As of December 12, 2024, Quang Ninh Provincial Customs Department collected VND 17,052 billion for the state budget, an increase of 5.72% over the same period in 2023.
This is the highest revenue ever, reaching 136.42% of the target set by the Ministry of Finance and 131.17% of the target assigned by the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee.
In 2024, many items will open export declarations for the first time at Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch.
Most recently, on November 20, a batch of instant bird's nest in jars and refined bird's nest was exported by AVANEST Vietnam Nutrition Joint Stock Company to the Chinese market. Then, for the first time, a batch of 21,870 fresh coconuts was entrusted by Hai Ninh Import-Export Trading Service Co., Ltd. (Mong Cai, Quang Ninh) to export to China for Mekong Fruit Import-Export Co., Ltd. (Ben Tre).
In 2024, Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch attracted 760 new enterprises to carry out import-export procedures, bringing the total number of enterprises carrying out import-export procedures to 1,321 enterprises.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Ha - Deputy Head of Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch - said: "In 2024, Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch was assigned to collect 1,600 billion VND. From the beginning of the year, the Branch has implemented a series of activities to innovate support forms, attract businesses to participate in import and export through the area, effectively maintain business support teams, increase interaction to support businesses via email, phone, and fanpage. As of December 11, 2024, the collection reached 2,267 billion VND, an increase of 51% over the same period in 2023, reaching 142% of the assigned target".
Throughout the province, the Quang Ninh Provincial Customs Department has implemented drastic solutions to manage budget collection, ensure proper implementation of targets and prevent revenue loss.
Total import-export turnover through the area reached 17.4 billion USD, up 17% over the same period in 2023. The Customs Department also attracted 1,928 more enterprises to participate in customs procedures, up 28% compared to 2023. The VNACCS/VCIS system carried out procedures for 160,849 declarations, up 20% over the previous year.
Budget collection management has been vigorously implemented since the beginning of the year, with Party Committee directives and the Plan for budget collection management and increase.
Urging debt collection, settlement, classification review, valuation and tax management have contributed significantly to exceeding the budget revenue target.
This is a remarkable achievement of all officers and civil servants of Quang Ninh Provincial Customs Department, making an important contribution to the economic development of the province, helping to promote import-export activities and trade with international partners.
