Consensus to donate land for road construction
The Son Ha - Co Ba road, 8.4 km long, connecting Bao Thang and Tang Loong communes with a total investment of more than 28 billion VND, has been completed, handed over and put into use at the end of March 2026.
According to reporters' records at the beginning of April, the road just put into operation has given a new face to the area. The concrete road surface is 3.5m wide, flat, stretching through An Thang, Tra Trau villages (Bao Thang commune) to Khe Den, Son Hai 1, Son Hai 2 (Tang Loong commune).

Many vehicles can conveniently enter and exit, replacing the difficult travel scene on dirt roads and trails in the past.
Along both sides of the route, many areas of hills, forests, and cinnamon fields are exploited more effectively. The production atmosphere has become bustling, and people proactively harvest and transport agricultural products immediately after the new road is built.
The highlight of the project is not only the investment scale but also the high consensus of the people.

During the implementation process, 138 households in the two communes voluntarily donated land, dismantled trees and works to hand over land with an area of 7.6ha.
Many households accept immediate disadvantages in exchange for spacious transport infrastructure, creating a foundation for long-term development.
Mr. Hoang Van Bo, a resident of Tra Trau village, shared that since the road was completed and put into use, people's lives have changed significantly.
People are very excited because the State has paid attention to investing in new roads. Now traveling is convenient, and harvesting agricultural products is also easier. Transporting cinnamon and wood is no longer as hard as before, cars can get to the place," Mr. Bo said.

Reality shows that when transportation infrastructure is completed, agricultural production in the locality is "untied".
Key products such as cinnamon, bananas, and forest products are easily put on the market, reducing costs and increasing economic efficiency.
People said that initial land donation was inevitably confusing, but when they were propagated and explained clearly the benefits, the majority agreed.
Many households actively cut down crops and relocated assets to hand over the site, contributing to helping the project to be completed soon.
Opening the way for hilly and forest economic development
Talking to reporter Hoang Ngoc Anh - Head of the Economic Department of Bao Thang commune, the project was started in the 2023-2024 period and has been completed and put into use in 2026, ensuring the set progress.
The project affects more than 138 households, but thanks to doing a good job of mobilization, people are highly supportive and willing to donate land to open roads. When put into use, this is a route connecting the two communes, creating conditions for hilly and forest economic development, and at the same time saving transportation costs for agricultural products for consumption," Mr. Ngoc Anh said.

Not only serving production, the road also connects to Co Ba Temple (Tang Loong), creating favorable conditions for people and tourists to come to worship, thereby opening up directions for service and spiritual tourism development.
According to the Head of the Economic Department of Bao Thang commune, in the coming period, the goal is to continue to expand branches and complete inter-regional traffic infrastructure. Bao Thang commune authorities will coordinate with Tang Loong commune to mobilize people to donate land, gradually forming a synchronous traffic network.

The goal is to connect trade, link production, and create conditions for people to develop a more sustainable economy," Mr. Ngoc Anh emphasized.
A road formed from the consensus of the government and people, the Son Ha - Co Ba route not only changed the face of rural areas but also became a "link" to bring agricultural products from the highlands to the market, contributing to improving the lives of local people.
