The project "Industrial waste treatment plant and hazardous waste" in Tang Loong Industrial Park is a large-scale project, with a total land area of 46 hectares and a total investment of 454 billion VND.
The plant has 22 items of equipment for treatment such as: solid waste incinerator system; Haunted waste incinerator system; Oil and waste oil and oil recycling system; Industrial and hazardous wastewater treatment system; plastic waste treatment and recycling system and some other processing and recycling items.
The total annual processing capacity after operation is 320,000 tons.

In mid-March, at Provincial Road 162 in Bao Thang district towards Van Ban district, according to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, a large part of the project's site has been leveled. At the construction site, many large capacity machines are mobilized to carry out the construction.
Through observation, next to the traffic road, the steel frames of the factory have begun to be erected. Around the construction site, the sound of trucks and excavators operating loudly.

Regularly traveling through Provincial Road 162 to work, Mr. Bui Dac Thanh (Phu Nhuan Commune, Bao Thang District) shared: I heard that when this waste treatment plant comes into operation, it will help solve thousands of tons of waste each year. We in the vicinity of Tang Loong Industrial Park also often suffer from pollution such as smoke, dust, water and industrial waste. Hopefully the project will be completed soon to partly handle the huge amount of waste every day here".
According to the investigation, the project to build an industrial waste and hazardous waste treatment plant is invested by Viet Son Green Environmental Treatment Service Joint Stock Company. The plant uses heating technology to reduce emissions and waste to the soil and water environment.

The project is divided into 2 phases: Phase 1, with a processing capacity of 828 tons/day, equivalent to a capacity of about 250,000 tons/year, started in May 2024, expected to be put into operation in July 2026.
Phase 2, with a capacity of 235 tons/day, equivalent to a processing capacity of about 70,000 tons/year, is expected to be completed and put into operation in April 2027.
According to the investor's commitment, the unit will put the plant into operation in phase I by the end of 2025.


Information from Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee, when the project is officially put into operation, it will create jobs for about 300 workers; especially local workers, contributing to increasing income and building new rural areas
Along with that, it will reduce the cost of transportation and waste treatment for businesses in Tang Loong Industrial Park. At the same time, it is possible to treat domestic waste, industrial solid waste, hazardous waste and other types of waste in Bao Thang, Van Ban districts, Lao Cai city and neighboring areas... with a treatment capacity of about 320,000 tons of waste/year.
