The phosphorus slag and high-voltage slag factory project of Lao Kay Production and Trading Joint Stock Company was approved for planning in 2023, with a capacity of 1 million tons/year, with a total investment of 300 billion VND.
When put into operation, the factory will treat all the waste of the industrial park to become additional sales for cement factories.

At the end of July, at Tang Loong Industrial Park, according to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, at the project site, dozens of workers, laborers and machines are working simultaneously to soon put the factory into operation.
According to observations, after the construction period, the high-altitude furnaces are almost completed, and many locations of surrounding auxiliary items are also under construction.
Mr. Vu Tien Thanh (residing in the new Tang Loong commune, Lao Cai province) shared: "This project had to be stopped last year because of an accident that killed 6 people. But it is currently in the process of being completed and put into use. People also hope that the project will help treat many waste in Tang Loong Industrial Park, but the construction needs to be extremely safe to avoid serious accidents".

Mr. Do Quoc Tuan, chief engineer of Lao Kay Production and Trading Joint Stock Company, said: Up to now, the project has been completed about 90% of the approved plan. The project will be put into operation in 2025, ensuring the progress committed to the province.
According to research, the entire project has a total area of 72,032 m2 located in Tang Loong Industrial Park.
Using advanced and modern technical technology, with the capacity to thoroughly process, recycle, and reuse waste, limit landfill, and turn them into products for economic development.

Tang Loong Industrial Park is a national focus for phosphorus production and steel borage. The daily production process produces a relatively large amount of waste, but the main treatment is simply landfill causing environmental pollution.
The project will contribute to overcoming these shortcomings, protecting the environment and increasing land funds for other production investment for industrial parks.

According to the leader of the Lao Cai Economic Zone Management Board, with the progress and commitment of the investor, the project will be completed on schedule, contributing to the treatment and recycling of 100% of industrial waste and hazards right from the source, bringing "double benefits" both economically and environmentally.
In August 2024, during the construction of the project's high-rise kiln project invested by Lao Kay Production and Trading Joint Stock Company, a serious work accident occurred, killing 3 people and injuring 3 others.
