The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that on the afternoon of April 27, 2025, within the framework of the official visit to Vietnam by Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru and his wife Ishiba Yoshiko, Ms. Ngo Phuong Ly, wife of General Secretary To Lam, received and together with Ms. Ishiba Yoshiko experienced making traditional Hanoi green rice cakes.
In a warm and cozy atmosphere, Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly happily welcomed Mrs. Ishiba Yoshiko to visit Vietnam for the first time and hoped that the Prime Minister of Japan would have many memorable experiences during the visit, thereby understanding more about the country, culture and people of Vietnam.

Lady Ishiba Yoshiko expressed his joy to visit Vietnam for the first time; sharing a deep impression on the beautiful, dynamic and dynamic Vietnamese country, friendly and hospitable Vietnamese; Desiring the relationship between the two countries to continue developing, meeting the needs and aspirations of the two countries.
Sharing about her first day in Vietnam when visiting Japanese businesses in Vietnam and the Vietnam Women's Museum, Mrs. Ishiba Yoshiko highly appreciated the hard work, diligence, work efforts, and dedication of the people and young generation of Vietnam; expressed her admiration for the resilience, strength, and many important contributions of Vietnamese women in historical periods.
The First Lady expressed her appreciation for the friendship and closeness that the Japanese Prime Minister and her First Lady have for Vietnam, especially the good feelings and appreciations of First Lady Ishiba Yoshiko for the country and people of Vietnam.

Lady Ngo Phuong Ly also shared about the pride of the Vietnamese nation for the generations of women, always promoting the spirit of "hero, indomitable, loyal, courageous" and the quality of "good at water, housework" in the years of fighting for national independence and national construction and development.
The two women discussed the unique cultural and artistic values of each country, including many cultural and culinary products of Vietnam and Japan that are popular with the people of both countries.
At the end of the meeting, the General Secretary's wife introduced and experienced making Hanoi green rice cake with the Japanese Prime Minister's wife.
Expressing her deep impression of the richness and uniqueness of Vietnamese culinary culture, Mrs. Ishiba Yoshiko said that the two countries have many cultural similarities; hoping that the two sides will continue to promote exchange, exchange and cooperation programs to widely spread the fundamental values and consider this a bridge to foster friendship and mutual understanding between the people of the two countries.
